Abstract：Objective To analyze the application situation of the National Institute of basic medicine，then improve the prescription qualified rate.Methods The outpatient service prescrition from January 2014 to December 2015 about 960 （quarterly random，each quarter from 120）was extracted in Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University.According to the national essential drugs list，prescription managementmethod，dispensatory，antibacterial drug application guidelines and so on，next prescription which extracted was reviewed and the conclusion was analyzed.Results Of the 960 prescriptions，the highest frequency of national essential drugs was antimicrobial drugs.The rate of th national essential drugs used was 64.44%；in 2014，among the 404 resonable prescriptions，the qualited was 84.17%and the unqualited was 15.83% （76/480）.In 2015，among the 413 resonable prescriptions，the qualified rate of prescriptionswas 86.04%and the unqualified ratewas 13.96%（67/480）.Conclusion Reviewing and analyzing the basic drugs used in the prescription，notonly can improve the national base，the drug use rate and the qualified rate of prescription，but also can promote the rational use of drugs.
