Abstract：Objective To test content of plasma homocysteine and cystatin C in patients with acute cerebral infarction and explore changes both in patients with acute cerebral infarction.Methods From May 2014 to December 2015，60 patients with cerebral infarction hospitalized in department of neurology of Wafangdian central hospital were selected as research objects（cerebral infarction group），30 healthy people over 40 years old without a history of cerebrovascular disease were selected as control group in our hospital medical center.Plasma homocysteine and cystatin C levels were compared between cerebral infarction group and control group，plasma homocysteine and cystatin C were compared between various types in cerebral infarction group and control group，the correlation between plasma homocysteine and cystatin C in cerebral infarction group was analyzed.Results The difference of plasma homocysteine and cystatin C levels was statistically significant（P＜0.05）between cerebral infarction group and control group，plasma homocysteine and cystatin C levels between the various types in cerebral infarction group，the difference was not statistically significant （P＞0.05）；plasma homocysteine was positively correlated with cystatin C levels.Conclusion Plasma homocysteine and cystatin C is closely related with acute cerebral infarction attack.
