Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of different nasal irrigation time on the clearance of secretions in infants with lower respiratory tract infection after 3%hypertonic saline solution atomization.MethodsFrom October 2014 to January 2015,180 children with lower respiratory tract infections in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University were selected in randomized controlled and single blind method.Children were randomly divided into two groups, and each group had 90 cases.Children of the two groups were all given the treatment of sanlian atomization combined atomization of 3%hypertonic saline,in the observation group, the nasal irrigation was used in 10 min after the atomization, while in the control group, the nasal irrigation was used in 30 min after atomization. The clinical symptoms, signs improving time and length of hospital stay, sleep quality were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe time of asthmatoid dyspnea, paroxysmal cough disappeared, rales, lung phlegm Ming sound disappear, hospital stay were shorter in the observation group than that of control group, the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05).Sleep quality of children in observation group was better than that of control group, the difference of two was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion10 minutes after atomization, nasal irrigation can relieve the clinical symptoms and signs of the patients with lower respiratory tract infection more quickly, has better effect,it is worthy of clinical application.
