Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the clinical effect of small incision thyroidectomy in the treatment of thyroid nodule.Methods82 patients with thyroid nodules in Department of Surgery of the hospital from July 2014 to February 2016 were randomly divided into study group(n=41)and control group(n=41).Patients in the control group were treated with traditional thyroidectomy and patients in the study group were treated with small incision thyroidectomy.Operation time, intraoperative blood loss, surgical incision, first ambulation time, exhaust time, defecation time and hospitalization time after opration, incidence of incision adhesion and dysphagia etc.complication between two groupswere compared.ResultsOperation time and intraoperative blood loss in the study group was(45.52±6.63)min and(38.41±6.45)ml respectively, significantly less than(80.87±7.82)min and(77.38±7.66)ml in the control group;the incision in the control group was (8.17±0.35)cm,significantly larger than(4.63±0.42)cm in the study group;in the study group, the time of hospitalization was(3.78±0.57)d,significantly shorter than(8.12±0.69)d in the control group;the complication rate in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group (7.32%vs 21.95%,P<0.05).ConclusionThyroidectomy with small incision thyroidectomy can reduce intraoperative blood loss and time, the rate of complication is lower than that of traditional technique. It can shorten the hospitalization time and reduce patient′s pain, less invasive, which can be widely used in clinical treatment of thyroid nodule.
