Abstract:ObjectiveTo evaluate the effects of targeted health education on the compliance ofmedication and social function ofmale patientswith schizophrenia according to the course of disease.Methods126 hospitalized male patients in Male OneWard of Youfu Hospital of Binzhou City from January to June 2015 according to the diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia(DSM-IV))and no seriousphysical illnesswere selected as research object,and theywere randomly divided into observation group(odd numbers group)and control group(even numbers group)by the order of hospitalization.Patients in the observation group were given targeted health education according to the course of disease and setup differenteducational objectives in different stages of the disease treatment and rehabilitation;patients in the control group were used conventionalmethodsofhealth education in psychiatric department,medication complianceand social function in two groups were evaluated in 6 months after discharge.ResultsThe compliance of the observation group was 87.30%, better than 76.19%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was statistically significant difference of occupation and work,parents function,social activities outside the home,family function,interest and concern to the outside world,responsibility and planning in two groups among SDSS (P<0.05).ConclusionAccording to the course of disease,the implementation of targeted health education for male patients with schizophrenia can significantly improve themedication compliance and social functional rehabilitation,so as to improve the quality of life of patients.
