Analysis of 305 cases of pneumoconiosis in Hengyang

Abstract:ObjectiveTo analyze the pathogenesis and clinical characteristics of pneumoconiosis patients in recent years in Hengyang and provide scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of pneumoconiosis.MethodsThe physical examination data of 305 patients with pneumoconiosis collected and diagnosed by Hengyang Center for Disease Control and Prevention from January 1st,2013 to 31stDecember 2016 were analyzed.ResultsOf 305 patients with pneumoconiosis, 114 cases at stageⅠ,135 cases at stageⅡ,and 56 cases at stageⅢ.The cases accompanied with cough,chest tightness, shortness of breath,cough up phlegm and chest pain respectively accounted for 96.14%,89.57%,87.57%,81.43%,and 56.71%.The cases complicated with chronic bronchitis,hypertension,tuberculosis,chest,emphysema,lung,the tumor accounted for 68.59%,65.2%,46.23%,33.77%,46.23%,17.37%and 4.2%,respectively.12.86%of patients remained normal lung function.The cases with mild,moderate and severe impaired lung functions respectively accounted for 17.86%,50.71% and 17.86%.Of patients with impaired lung function,the proportion of stageⅠ,ⅡandⅢpneumoconiosis patients was 56.25%,95.24%and 100.00%;patients with dust exposure time of<15,15-19,and>19-30 years respectively accounted for 48.15%,93.88%and 98.43%.ConclusionThe pneumoconiosis patients are usually accompanied with high incidence of complications and severely damaged lung function.The regular occupational health examination of dust exposure workers and screening of the pneumoconiosis dust would help to early identify and control the pneumoconiosis.
