Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of dual energy subtraction (DES) and low-dose multi-slice spiral CT (MSCT) in the diagnosis of ureteral stones. Methods Sixty-two patients with suspected ureteral stones admitted to Zhongshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2020 to June 2021 were selected as study subjects. All 62 patients were examined for DES and low-dose MSCT to observe the diagnosis of ureteral stones with DES AND with low-dose MSCT.Using the final clinical diagnosis results as the gold standard,we compare the specificity,accuracy and sensitivity of DES with low dose MSCT diagnosis and compare the diagnostic detection rate of DES with low dose MSCT at different sites. Results The final clinical diagnosis showed that 49 of the 62 suspected ureteric stone patients were positive and 13 were negative.Among them,19 were ureteral stones in the lower segment,16 were middle ureteral stones,and 14 were upper ureteral stones. The accuracy and sensitivity of ureteral stones by DES were higher than low dose MSCT (P<0.05),the diagnosis of ureteral stones (P>0.05) and the lower,middle and upper sections showed no difference (P>0.05). Conclusion The high sensitivity and accuracy of ureteral stone diagnosis by DES is conducive to improving the detection rate of ureteral stones,reducing the risk of missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis,and then providing precise guidance for the diagnosis and treatment of patients,which can be used as a preferred method for the diagnosis of ureteral stones.
