Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical application value of Dexmedetomidine in endotracheal intubation for patients with severe multiple trauma.MethodsAltogether 42 patients who had multiple trauma(ISS score>16)and required emergency tracheal intubation from May 2014 to November 2015 in our hospital were selected and divided into two groups according to the number of patients admission time:22 cases in Dexmedetomidine group and 20 cases in Midazolam group. The effects of two groups were compared.ResultsThe SBP,SDP and heart rate indexes were compared between two groups of patients in intubation and 1 and 3 min after intubation, differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The SpO2level of 1 min and intubation with the premedication of two group were compared, the difference of Dexmedetomidine group was not statistically significant(P>0.05),however the difference of Midazolam group was statistically significant(P<0.05).ConclusionThe effect of dexmeitomidine on the tracheal intubation of patients with severe multiple trauma is more significant than Midazolam. It is beneficial to reduce the cardiovascular response and reduce the effect of respiratory function on patients, and its clinical value is remarkable and worth promoting its application.
