Peycho educational program in patients with initial insulin treatment of type 2 diabetes

Abstract:Objective To investigate the application of structured peycho education program (PEP)in insulin therapy for type 2 diabetes (T2DM)patients.Methods From January 2018 to January 2019,100 patients with T2DM were admitted to the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University were selected and divided into the observation group(50 cases)and the control group(50 cases)by random digital table method.The control group was given traditional nursing care,based on the control group,the observation group was given regular guidance PEP the project plan.The exercise of self-care agency sccale(ESCA)score and minnesota living with heart failure questionnaire(MLHFQ)score were analyzed and compared between the two groups.Results The ESCA score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group after 3 months of nursing,and the MLHFQ score was lower than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The nursing effect of the PEP program in T2DM patients treated with insulin is remarkable,it can become a new method with application prospect.
