Abstract:Objective To compare the effect of internal and external use of Zhongtongan and Zhongtongan combined with Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Gel in the treatment of oral ulcer. Methods A total of 78 patients with oral ulcer admitted to Ganzhou People′s Hospital of Jiangxi Province from June 2019 to June 2020 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into group A and group B according to odd and even grouping method, with 39 cases in each group.Group A took Zhongtongan orally and used Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Gel externally, while group B took Zhongtongan orally and used Zhongtongan powder externally.Therapeutic effect, pain degree, area and number of oral ulcer before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups (P>0.05).Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in visual analogue scale (VAS) score between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment, the VAS scores of the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the VAS score of the group B was lower than that of the group A, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in area and number of ulcers between the two groups (P>0.05).After treatment, the area and number of ulcers in the two groups were smaller than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the area and number of ulcers in the group B were smaller than those in the group A, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Zhongtongan combined with Recombinant Bovine Basic Fibroblast Growth Factor Gel and internal and external use of Zhongtongan are both effective in treating oral ulcers, but internal and external use of Zhongtongan is more effective in reducing pain and controlling ulcers.
