Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of 311 nm narrow band ultraviolet B (NB-UVB) combined with Gabapentin in the treatment of post-herpetic neuralgia (PHN). Methods A total of 84 PHN patients admitted to Shangrao Dermatology Hospital from January to December 2020 were selected as the research subjects, and they were divided into the observation group (42 cases) and the control group (42 cases) by a random number table methods. Patients in the control group were treated with Gabapentin, while patients in the observation group were added with 311 nm NB-UVB on the basis of the control group. The treatment effect, pain degree and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the pain score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion The effect of 311 nm NB-UVB combined with Gabapentin in the treatment of PHN patients is better than Gabapentin alone, which is beneficial to improve the pain degree and treatment effect, and does not increase the adverse reactions, and the prognosis of patients is better.
