Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of bionic electrical stimulation combined with music therapy on cognitive function of stroke patients. Methods From December 2019 to October 2020, 52 patients with post-stroke cognitive dysfunction admitted to the Rehabilitation Medicine Center of the First People′s Hospital of Nantong City, Jiangsu Province were selected as the research objects. They were divided into the experimental group and the control group according to random lottery method, with 26 cases in each group. The control group received conventional drug treatment and rehabilitation training, and the experimental group added bionic electrical stimulation and music therapy. The occurrence of adverse reactions was observed during treatment. Before treatment and after 4 weeks of treatment, the two groups of patients were evaluated with mini-mental state examination(MMSE),Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)and the modified Barthel index (MBI) to assess the cognitive function and self-care ability in daily life. Results Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in MMSE, MoCA and MBI scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After 4 weeks of treatment, MMSE ([25.62±2.33]points), MoCA ([25.04±2.47]points), MBI ([72.12±8.27]points)in experimental group were higher than those in control group ([23.15±3.50], [22.65±3.26], [65.19±8.66]points), and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). There were no obvious adverse reactions in the two groups during treatment. Conclusion Bionic electrical stimulation combined with music therapy can promote the improvement of the cognitive function of stroke patients and improve the ability of self-care in daily life.
