Abstract:Objective The influencing factors of residual recurrence after hysteromyomectomy were analyzed to provide the basis for the prevention and treatment of residual recurrence after hysteromyomectomy. Methods The clinical data of 68 patients who underwent hysteromyomectomy in the Nantong Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital and Qidong Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from February 2017 to March 2020 were retrospectively analyzed. Residual recurrence of all patients within 6 months after surgery was counted. Clinical data of patients were collected, including age, surgical method, number of fibroids, fibroid diameter, fibroid location, fibroid type, serum prolactin (PRL) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) levels, analyzed the influencing factors of residual recurrence after hysteromyomectomy. Results Among the 68 patients, postoperative residual recurrence occurred in 7 cases (10.29%). Age, number of fibroids, location of fibroids and MMP-9 level were compared between the residual or recurrent group and the nonresidual or recurrent group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis found that Age<40 years old, number of fibroids≥4, intramural fibroids, MMP-9 level≥200 ng/L were all the influencing factors for residual recurrence after hysteromyomectomy (P<0.05). Conclusion Patients with uterine fibroids have a certain residual recurrence rate after removal, and intervention should be carried out according to the influencing factors of postoperative residual recurrence to improve the prognosis of patients.
