Abstract:Objective To observe the effect of small incision non-phacoemulsification extracapsular excision in the treatment of senile cataract and its influence on vision. Methods A total of 76 elderly cataract patients who were admitted to the Department of Ophthalmology of Renhe Hospital of Beijing from February 2018 to April 2020 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into a conventional group (38 cases) and a study group (38 cases) according to the random number table method.Patients in the conventional group used phacoemulsification and extracapsular phacoemulsification patients in the study group used small incision non-phacoemulsification extracapsular extraction. The intraocular pressure, visual acuity and adverse reactions of patients of the two groups were compared. Results The comparison of the intraocular pressure before treatment between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05);the intraocular pressure after treatment in the conventional group was higher than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);the intraocular pressure after treatment in the study group was higher than that before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);the intraocular pressure of the study group at 2, 6, 12 and 24h after treatment was lower than that of the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The visual acuity comparison between the two groups before treatment and 3 months after treatment was not statistically significant (P>0.05);the visual acuity after treatment in the conventional group was higher than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);The visual acuity after treatment in the study group was higher than that before treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);the visual acuity of the study group was higher than that of the conventional group at 1 week after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was lower than that in the routine group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion In the choice of treatment for elderly cataract patients, small-incision non-phacoemulsification extracapsular extirpation can be taken into consideration, which is safe and effective and worthy of application.
