Abstract:Objective To explore the influence of acceptance and commitment therapy on the subjective well-being and coping styles of patients with artificial airway in intensive care unit(ICU).Methods A total of 120 patients with artificial airway admitted to Heze Municipal Hospital in Shandong Province from September 2017 to December 2019 were selected as the research subjects.The patients were divided into the observation group and the control group by random number table method,60 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given routine care,and in the observation group,meticulous care of acceptance and commitment therapy was added on the basis of the control group.Before and after nursing intervention,the second edition of the acceptance and action questionnaire(AAQ-Ⅱ),cognitive fusion questionnaire(CFQ),World Health Organization quality of life scale(WHOQOL-100),Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA),Hamilton depression scale(HAMD),fear visual analogue scale(FAVS),general well-being schedule(GWB),and simplified coping style questionnaire(SCSQ)were used for observation and comparison.Two groups of patients were evaluated by accepting actions,cognitive scores,quality of life,negative emotions,subjective well-being,and coping styles.Results After the intervention,the AAQ-Ⅱand CFQ scores of the observation group were lower than those before the intervention and the control group,the WHOQOL-100 scores were higher in physiology,psychology,independence,social relations,and spiritual support compared with those before the intervention and the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After the intervention,the environmental scores were not significantly different from those before the intervention and the control group(P>0.05).The scores of HAMA,HAMD,and FAVS after the intervention in the observation group were lower than before the intervention and the control group,the observation group′s GWB score after the intervention was higher than that before the intervention and the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The observation group′s active response score after the intervention was higher than that before the intervention and the control group,the negative coping score was lower than before the intervention and the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The intervention of acceptance and commitment therapy for ICU patients with artificial airway has a remarkable effect.It can effectively adjust the patient′s physical and mental state,improve their negative emotions,promote subjective well-being,ameliorate the quality of life,and help to improve the patient′s coping style.
