Effect of non-invasive ventilator in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated with respiratory failure and its influence on lung function

Abstract:Objective To analyze the effect of non-invasive ventilator in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated with respiratory failure and its effect on lung function.Methods A total of 100 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated with respiratory failure admitted to Jinzhou Central Hospital from June 2015 to February 2018 were selected for this study.They were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method,with 50 patients in each group.The control group was treated with conventional treatment,while the observation group was treated with non-invasive ventilator in addition to conventional treatment.The total effective rate,pulmonary function indexes and complications were compared between the two groups.Results After treatment,the total effective rate,forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1),forced expiratory volume in the first second(FVC)and the ratio of forced expiratory volume in the first second to forced expiratory volume(FEV1/FVC)in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Non-invasive ventilator therapy is effective in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated with respiratory failure,which can improve lung function,reduce complications,and promote the improvement of respiratory function,which has positive clinical significance.
