Abstract:Objective To analyze the relationship between serum immunoglobulin G(IgG)subtype levels of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)and acute exacerbation and hospitalization risk. Methods A total of 60 patients with stable COPD in Shangrao Municipal Hospital of Jiangxi Province from June 2019 to February 2020 were selected as the observation group, according to the IgG4 level of the patients,19 COPD patients whose IgG4 level was lower than the normal level and accompanied with more than 2 acute attacks in 1 year were classified as the low group,41 COPD patients with normal IgG4 level were included in the normal group. In addition,20 patients who had no disease in this hospital during the same period were selected as the control group. The serum IgG4 level was compared between the observation group and control group, and the relationship between serum IgG4 level and acute exacerbation and hospitalization risk was analyzed. Results The IgG4 level of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The frequency of acute exacerbation and the frequency of hospitalization in the low group before intervention were higher than those in the normal group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, there were no significant differences in the frequency of acute exacerbation and the frequency of hospitalization between the low group and the normal group(P>0.05).Conclusion Low serum IgG subtype levels in patients with COPD will increase the frequency of acute exacerbation and the risk of hospitalization. The application of Thymalfasin can effectively reduce the number of acute exacerbations and the frequency of hospitalization in COPD patients with low IgG subtype levels. Therefore, the serum IgG subtype has a certain early warning effect on the acute onset of COPD.
