Effect of Salmeterol Ticasone Powder Inhaler combined with noninvasive positive pressure ventilation in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease complicated with respiratory failure

Abstract：Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of Salmeterol Ticasone Powder Inhaler combined with noninvasive positive pressure ventilation(NPPV)in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)complicated with respiratory failure.Methods A total of 50 patients with COPD complicated with respiratory failure who were treated in the People′s Hospital in Lvyuan District of Changchun City from December 2018 to December 2019 were selected as the research subjects,and they were divided into study group and control group according to random number table method,with 25 cases in each group.Control group was treated with NPPV on the basis of conventional treatment.Patients in the study group received Salmeterol Ticasone Powder Inhaler combined with NPPV in addition to conventional treatment.The therapeutic effect of the two groups was compared and analyzed.Lung function before and after treatment was compared between the two groups.The total incidence of adverse reactions was compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate in the study group was higher than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the forced expiratory volume in the first second(FEV1),the ratio of FEV1 to forced vital capacity(FEV1%),the ratio of forced expiratory volume to forced vital capacity(FEV1/FVC)and the 6 min walk test(6MWT)between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,FEV1,FEV1% and FEV1/FVC in the study group were higher than those in the control group,and 6MWT was longer than that in the control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).After treatment,the total incidence of adverse reactions in the study group was lower than that in the control group,with statistical significance(P＜0.05).Conclusion The use of Salmeterol Ticasone Powder Inhaler combined with NPPV in the treatment of COPD complicated with respiratory failure has outstanding clinical effect,which can significantly improve the pulmonary function indexes of patients,and significantly reduce the total incidence of clinical adverse reactions in patients after treatment.This program is safe and effective,which is worth promoting.
