Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of balloon compression combined with oxytocin for cervical ripening and labor induction,and its influence on maternal and infant outcomes.Methods A total of 88 parturients who were admitted to Dongguan Kanghua Hospital from August 2019 to August 2020 were selected as the research subjects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into control group and observation group,with 44 cases in each group.The control group was induced by Oxytocin,while the observation group was induced by balloon compression on the basis of the control group.The cervical maturity,labor time,labor process,induced labor outcome and maternal and infant outcome were compared between the two groups after intervention.Results The total effective rate of cervical maturity in observation group was higher than that in control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The labor time of observation group was shorter than that of control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The first stage of labor,the second stage of labor,and the third stage of labor in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The vaginal delivery rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the cesarean section rate was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Balloon compression combining with Oxytocin has a significant effect on cervical maturation,which can increasing the rate of vaginal delivery,reducing the rate of cesarean section,and improving the maternal and infant outcomes.
