Abstract:Objective To explore application effect of procedure for prolapse and hemorrhoids (PPH) on patients with severe haemorrhoids. Methods A total of 60 patients with severe haemorrhoids who were admitted to the Department of Gastrointestinal Surgery in Jingdezhen No.1 People′s Hospital from March 2017 to March 2019 were enrolled as subjects.According to random number table method, they were divided into control group and observation group,30 cases in each group. The control group was given traditional hemorrhoidectomy, while observation group was treated with PPH.The operation time, intraoperative blood loss and hospitalization time were compared between the two groups. The maximal tolerable rectal volume (MTV),maximum systolic pressure (MSP) and high pressure zone (HPZ) before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. The clinical curative effect and total incidence of postoperative complications in both groups were statistically analyzed. Results The total therapeutic response rate of treatment in observation group was 86.67%,which was higher than that in control group of 63.33%,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The operation time and hospitalization time in observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and intraoperative blood loss was less than that in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, levels of MTV,MSP and HPZ in observation group were higher than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The overall incidence of complications in the observation group was 10.00%,compared with 23.33% in the control group, showing no significant difference (P>0.05).Conclusion The curative effect of PPH is significant on severe haemorrhoids, which can significantly shorten operation time and hospitalization time, with less bleeding volume, and fewer influences on anorectal dynamics.
