Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of holistic nursing in elderly patients undergoing laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer. Methods Altogether 64 elderly patients who underwent laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer from May 2017 to May 2018 were selected and divided into observation group and control group according to the random number table method, 32 cases in each group. The observation group was given holistic nursing after operation and the control group adopted routine nursing. The nursing effect, negative psychology and total nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results Defecation time, anal exhaust time and hospitalization time of observation group were shorter than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA), Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) scores of observation group were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total nursing satisfaction of the observation group (94.29%) was higher than that of the control group (68.57%), the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Holistic nursing shows significant effectiveness in elderly patients who undergo laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer, which can accelerate the recovery, reduce psychological pressure, improve nursing satisfaction. The clinical application value is remarkable.
