Abstract:Objective To compare the effects of traditional laparotomy and laparoscopic modified anterior rectal resection on in the treatment of rectal prolapse. Methods A total of 30 cases of rectal prolapse patients admitted to our hospital from June 2017 to June 2019 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into the control group (n=15) and the study group (n=15) according to the computer equivalent random method. The control group was treated with traditional open surgery, while the study group was treated with laparoscopic modified rectal resection. The operative indexes and postoperative complications of the two groups were compared. Results The operation time of the study group ([103.5±2.1] min) and postoperative hospital stay ([6.5±1.2] d) were shorter than those of the control group([154.6±2.5] min,[13.4±2.5] d),intraoperative blood loss ([80.3±16.9] ml) was less than that of the control group([115.4±17.5] ml),and the total incidence of postoperative complications (13.33%) was lower than that of the control group (53.33%),with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion In the treatment of rectal prolapsed, laparoscopic modified rectocelectomy can effectively reduce the amount of bleeding, accelerate the recovery time, reduce the incidence of complications, and improve the quality of life, which has a certain clinical application value.
