Abstract:Objective To explore the application effect of Rosenthal effect nursing in elderly patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty (THA).Methods A total of 76 elderly patients undergoing THA in our hospital from July 2015 to December 2018 were selected and divided into the control group (n=38) and the observation group (n=38) by the random number table method. The control group was given routine nursing. On this basis, the observation group was given Rosenthal effect nursing intervention. The psychological status before and after intervention, self-management ability after intervention, quality of life before and after intervention were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, Hamilton rating scale for depression (HAMD) and Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA) scores of the observation group were (11.35±1.22) and (14.67±1.58) points, lower than those of the control group for (12.26±0.97) and (15.15±1.26) points, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).However, scores of disease monitoring, emotion management, self-care of pressure sores and medication compliance were (9.35±2.04), (12.28±1.61), (11.26±1.27) and(10.61±1.93) points higher than those of the control group for (7.23±1.16), (9.21±0.59), (8.45±0.88) and (8.12±1.16)points, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).After intervention, the overall health score of the observation group was (76.45±7.32) points, higher than that of the control group for (72.38±7.59) points, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Rosental effect nursing intervention can improve the psychological state,self-management ability and quality of life of elderly patients undergoing THA with definite effect.
