Abstract:Objective To explore the accuracy of 3D printing navigation template in assisting atlantoaxial pedicle screw placement. Methods From September 2017 to June 2018,10 adult cervical spine specimens were provided by the department of anatomy in Medical College of Nanchang University were selected as subjects. The three dimension digital model of cervical vertebrae was reconstructed by Mimics after CT scanning in 10 cases of adult cervical vertebrae without lesion. The specific reverse template of atlantoaxial vertebrae was designed by 3-matic and the navigation module of atlantoaxial was printed out in 3D.A total of 40 pedicle screws were placed with navigation template, and then the specimens were scanned by CT,reconstructed by Mimics, and dissected to evaluate the accuracy of pedicle screw placement. Results A total of 40 screws inserted with this guide plate were reconstructed by CT scan,Mimics reconstruction and anatomical confirmation of the specimen. One of the screws pierced the pedicle bone cortex. The correct rate of pedicle placement was 97.5%.Conclusion The accuracy of atlantoaxial pedicle screw placement assisted by 3D printing navigation template is high, which is worthy of further clinical study and application.
