Abstract：Objective To analyze the effect of “lifting and shaking hand manipulation” method combined with paired needling in the treatment of diarrhea-type irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).Methods From January 2017 to February 2018,65 eligible patients with diarrhea-type IBS treated in Guangzhou Zengcheng Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were selected as study subjects.According to the drawing lots,they were divided into the control group(32 cases)and the treatment group(33 cases).They were treated with western medicine and“lifting and shaking hand manipulation”method combined with paired needling.The total effective rate and IBS-symptom severity score(IBS-SSS)before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the treatment group was 96.97%,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(75.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference of IBS-SSS score between the two groups before treatment(P＞0.05).The IBS-SSS score in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).ConclusionThe “lifting and shaking hand manipulation” method combined with paired needling treating diarrhea-type IBS obtains a clear effect,which can effectively improve the severity of the patients′condition and is worthy of clinical promotion.
