Abstract:Objective To analyze 1 case of Vibrio vulnificus infection successfully treated in our hospital and provide experience for laboratory and clinic.Methods A strain of Vibrio vulnificus isolated from 1 case of hand necrotizing fasciitis identified by our department in July 2017 was retrospectively analyzed, and its clinical data and pathological reports were combined for laboratory examination.Results Vibrio vulnificus was cultured in the patient′s blister fluid and intra-operative exudate of the early stage of infection, with a negative result of the blood culture.According to the results of laboratory identification and drug sensitivity in clinic, anti-infective drugs were adjusted in time, and surgical debridement was carried out actively.The infection of patients was controlled in time.After 67 days of treatment, the patient recovered and discharged.Conclusion It is concluded that early diagnosis of infectious patient, early laboratory identification of pathogens, early clinical application of effective anti-infective drugs and surgical intervention are the key factors affecting the prognosis of the patient.
