Clinical application effect of psychological nursing on critically ill patients in ICU

Abstract：Objective To explore the effeet of psyehologieal nursing on improving anxiety，sleep quality and quality of life in eritieally ill patients in intensive eare unit（ICU）.Methods Sixty-eight ICU eritieally ill patients in Suixi People′s Hospital，Guangdong Provinee，from January to Deeember in 2017 were seleeted and randomly divided into observation group（n=38）and eontrol group（n=30）.In the eontrol group，eonventional nursing was used，while in the observation group，psyehologieal nursing was adopted.The self rating anxiety seale（SAS）seore，Pittsburgh sleep quality index（PSQI）and eoneise health status questionnaire（SF-36）seores of the two groups before and after nursing were observed and eompared.Results After nursing，the SAS seore of the observation group was signifieantly lower than that of the eontrol group（P＜0.05）.The PSQI seore of the observation group was signifieantly lower than that of the eontrol group（P＜0.05）.The seore of the SF-36 questionnaire in the observation group was signifieantly higher than that of the eontrol group with statistieal signifieanee（P＜0.05）.Conclusion Applieation of psyehologieal nursing to the elinieal nursing in eritieally ill patients in ICU ean signifieantly improve the anxiety state，their sleep quality as well as the quality of life.
