Abstract:Objective To study the application value of multi-slice spiral CT in the diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules. Methods The medical data of 74 patients with thyroid nodules who were given comprehensive examination diagnosed in our hospital from May 2016 to January 2017 were retrospectively analyzed.Among them,57 cases were benign thyroid nodules, and 17 cases were malignant thyroid nodules. All patients were given multi-slice spiral CT plain scan combined with enhanced scan.According to the results of CT imaging, the CT features of benign and malignant thyroid nodules were diagnosed and differentiated. Results According to the multi-slice spiral CT examination, the benign thyroid nodules was detected in 57 cases(75.68%).The malignant thyroid nodules was detected in 57 cases (22.97%).Among them, the CT findings of benign thyroid nodules were mostly regular in shape, with clear boundaries and curve-like and patch-like calcifications.CT findings of malignant thyroid nodules were mostly irregular in shape, blurred in borders, and with spot and particle-like calcification, there were statistically significant differences in CT features between benign and malignant thyroid nodules(P<0.05).The CT enhancement features of benign thyroid nodules were mostly uniform enhancement, with a few of complete ring enhancements, while malignant thyroid nodules were mostly peritumoral residual ring enhancement and peninsula-like enhancement, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Multi-slice spiral CT is highly accurate in the diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules, and can accurately observe the specific characteristics of benign and malignant nodules. It provides an important reference for clinical diagnosis and follow-up treatment, and has a high clinical promotion value.
