Abstract：Objective To analyze the common causes of syncope in emergency department and the treatment strategies.Methods Patients with syncope who were treated in the emergency department of our hospital from November 2016 to November 2017 were selected as observation subjects in this study.A total of 136 patients were sampled in one year.According to different age groups,all patients were divided into three groups,including 40 patients in the 15-34 years old group,42 patients in the 35-54 years old group,and 54 patients in the 55-75 years old group.A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of all patients with emergency syncope,and the presence and underlying causes of underlying diseases were analyzed and summarized.Results The basic diseases of the three groups of emergency patients with syncope found that there was no significant difference among all age groups(P＞0.05);among common causes of the three groups of patients,cardiac syncope was found.There were 46 patients in total,accounting for 33.82%;56 patients with neuronal syncope,accounting for 41.18%;12 patients with orthostatic hypotension syncope,accounting for 8.82%;16 patients with brain-derived syncope accounting for 11.76%;other causes of syncope in 6 patients,accounting for 4.41%.The 15-34 years old group was mainly young and middle-aged people with syncope and the proportion was significantly higher than other people (P＜0.05）;Cardiac syncope in the 55-74 years old group was maialy elderly people cardiac syncope was significantly higher than that of other people (P＜0.05）.Conclusion The most common cause of acute syncope in young and middle-aged patients is nerve-mediated.However,for cardiogenic syncope,it is good for the elderly population.The staff of the emergency department can analyze the causes of syncope according to the changes in the patient′s clinical symptoms and physical signs,and formulate corresponding treatment strategies for them.
