Abstract:Objective To analyze the efficacy of Mesalazine and Salazosulfapyridine in the treatment of ulcerative colitis. Methods The subjects of this study were all selected from 120 patients with ulcerative colitis treated in our hospital from August 2016 to August 2017.By a random number table, they were evenly divided into control group and experimental group,60 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with Salazosulfapyridine, while in the experimental group,Mesalazine was adopted. The total treatment effectiveness rate and the scores of histological examinations before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. In addition, the occurrence of adverse reactions in the two groups was observed. Results After treatment,in the experimental group, the total effectiveness rates for diarrhea, abdominal pain, and mucus bloody stool were 95.00%,96.67%,and 93.33%,which was significantly higher than those of the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Before treatment, the difference in histological examination scores was not significant(P>0.05).After treatment, histological examination score in the experimental group was(0.81±0.41)points,which was superior to that before treatment and the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the experimental group was 8.33%,which was significantly lower than that in the control group accounting for 21.67%(P<0.05).Conclusion For patients with ulcerative colitis, the efficacy of Mesalazine is better compared with Salazosulfapyridine. The former can improve clinical symptoms, reduce adverse reactions in high safety, which is worth recommending in future clinical practice.
