Clinical effect of modified Fangfeng Tongsheng Powder in the treatment of facial allergic dermatitis with hormone-resistance and its influence on serum IgE level

Abstract:ObjectiveTo evaluate the clinical effect of modified Fangfeng Tongsheng Powder in the treatment of facial allergic dermatitis with hormone-resistance and its influence on serum IgE level.Methods80 patients with facial hormone-resistant atopic dermatitis treated in our hospital from March 2015 to January 2017 were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to the patients′wishes.Among them,patients in the control group(n= 38)were treated by conventional Western medicine therapy,and in the observation group(n=42),patients were provided with modified Fangfeng Tongsheng Powder besides therapy in the control group.The clinical effect and serum IgE level were compared in the two groups.ResultsThe total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (χ2=4.06,P<0.05).The levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6,TNF-α and IL-8 in the observation group were significantly decreased after therapy(P<0.05).The level of serum IgE was also significantly decreased in the observation group(P<0.05).The score of DIQI after therapy in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).ConclusionFor facial allergic dermatitis with hormone-resistance,combination of modified Fangfeng Tongsheng powder is better than conventional Western medicine therapy,which is worthy of clinical application and promotion.
