Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of ultrasound elastography and conventional ultrasound in the identifying of benign or malignant thyroid nodule.Methods 64 thyroid nodules lesion patients from 1 May 2014 to 1 July 2015 in our hospital were selected as the research group,all patients were used ultrasound elastography and conventional ultrasound.The sensitivity and specificity of two examinations was compared respectively.Results The sensitivity of ultrasound elastography for identifying benign or malignant thyroid nodules was 86.36%,the specificity was 89.28% and the accuracy rate was 88.46%.The sensitivity of conventional ultrasound for identifying benign or malignant thyroid nodules was 66.36%,the specificity was 78.57% and the accuracy rate was 74.35%.There was significant difference in the sensitivity,specificity and accuracy rate between two examination methods (P<0.05).Conclusion Ultrasound elastography can accurate identify and diagnose the nature of thyroid nodules,can make up for the shortcoming of conventional ultrasound and then can more clearly show the disease focus,at the same time,which has higher sensitivity and accuracy rate that can provide valuable information for patients'early diagnosis,therapy method and prognosis.
