Abstract:Objective To study the clinical effect of applyingmodified Gibson surgical approach in the treatment of acetabular fracture combined with posterior dislocation of hip joint. Methods 92 acetabular fracture patientswith posterior dislocation of hip joint admitted into our hospital from March 2010 to March 2016 were selected and evenly divided into control group(n=46)and treatment group(n=46)in random.In the control group,conventional surgical approach was used,while in the treatment group,modified Gibson surgical approach was adopted.The number of cases with complications during perioperative period,surgical effect,improvement amplitude of Harris score before and after surgery,time of be off the bed after surgery,total time of hospital stay after surgery,and time of returning to normal on physiological function by hip joint after surgery were compared between the two groups.Results The incidence of complications in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group with a statistical difference based on inter-group data(P<0.05).The surgical effect on treating acetabular fracture combined with posterior dislocation of hip joint in the treatment group wasmuch superior to that in the control group,with a statistical difference(P<0.05).The improvement amplitude of Harris score before and after surgery was higher than that in the control group,which was displayed a statistical difference(P<0.05).Posterior time of being off bed,total hospital stay after surgery,and time of returning to normal on physiological function by hip joint after surgery were allmuch shorter in comparison with those in the control group with statistical differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Application ofmodified Gibson surgical approach can obtain a favorable effect on treating acetabular fracture combining with posterior dislocation of hip joint.
