Abstract:Objective To explore the influence ofmobile phone shortmessage education on cognitive behavior ability in patientswith type 2 diabetesmellitus(T2DM). Methods 80 patientswith T2DM in our hospital from April 2014 to June 2015 were selected and randomly divided into themobile phone shortmessage education group (group A,44cases)and the regular group (group B,36 cases).Group A was given themobile phone shortmessage education with the conventional health education,group B was only given conventional health education.The cognitive ability in patientswith diabetesmellitus knowledge,the changes of blood glucose,self-efficacy and quality of life in the two groupswas compared. Results After 1 years of follow-up,the diabetes cognitive ability,blood glucose control,self-efficacy and quality of life in the two groupswere significantly improved(P<0.05).The improvement of the indexes of group A was significantly better than that of group B,with significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion Management of diabetic patients with mobile phone shortmessage education and conventional education can prompt not only blood glucose control level but also the knowledge level of patientswith diabetesmellitus,behavioral change,the ability of self-management and quality of life.
