Local application of local application of pingyangmycin in treating eyelid xanthelasma

Abstract：Objective To explore the effects and application value of local application of pingyangmycin in treating eyelid xanthelasma.Methods 119 eyelid xanthelasma patients with larger tumor and younger age were randomly divided into two groups.Patients in study group （82 cases）were given local application of drug and patients in control group （37 cases）were used laser therapy.The clinical effects，prognosis and recurrence situation in two groups were observed. Results The clinical effects in two groups was equal（P＞0.05）.The rate of local skin itch，congestion swelling and left spots in control group were higher than that of study group （P＜0.05）.The recurrence rate in study group was lower than that of control group，the patients satisfaction was higher than that of control group，and the difference was statistical significance（P＜0.05）.Conclusion Local injection of pingyangmycin can inhibite the xanthoma cells reproduction，promote the release of lipoprotein lipase and with the advantages of easy，little adverse effects and no recurrence at all.It is worth to popularize and application in clinical practice.
