Abstract:Objective To study the effect of step rehabilitation mode on lumbar function and postoperative pain in patients with lumbar disc herniation (LDH). Methods A total of 100 LDH patients who were admitted to Guangzhou Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital from February 2019 to February 2021 were selected and divided into two groups according to the random number table method, 50 cases in each group. The control group was guided by routine nursing, and the observation group carried out step rehabilitation mode intervention, the satisfaction of nursing care, postoperative complications and lumbar function and pain degree in different intervention stages of the two groups were compared. Results The score of Japanese Orthopaedic Association assessment form (JOA) in observation group was higher than that of the control group at the 4 and 12th week after operation, and the score of Oswestry dysfunction index and visual analogue score (VAS) were lower than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The total satisfaction of the patients in the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The total proportion of the patients with postoperative complications such as nerve root edema and interstitial infection in the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The step rehabilitation mode can obviously reduce postoperative pain, reduce complications and promote the recovery of lumbar function of LDH patients, and also obtain more satisfactory nursing evaluation.
