Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application effect of direct anterior approach in patients with degenerative hip arthritis undergoing total hip arthroplasty. Methods A total of 30 patients with degenerative hip arthritis of the hip who underwent total hip arthroplasty in our hospital from January to October 2019 were selected as the study subjects for retrospective analysis. The patients were divided into observation group and control group according to different surgical approaches, with 15 cases in each group. The observation group was treated by direct anterior approach while the control group was treated by posterolateral approach. The two groups were given oral Livaroxaban 10 mg qd for anticoagulant therapy 24 hours after operation. The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative pain score and Harris hip joint function score between the two groups were compared. Results The operation time in observation group was shorter than that in control group, and the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05).The intraoperative blood loss in observation group was less than that in control group, and the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05).The pain scores at 1,4 and 12 weeks after operation in observation group were lower than those in control group, and the differences had statistical significance (P<0.05).The Harris hip joint function scores at 1,4 and 12 weeks after operation in observation group were higher than those in control group, and the difference had statistical significance (P<0.05).Conclusion Direct anterior approach can significantly shorten the operation time, reduce the intraoperative blood loss, reduce the pain after total hip arthroplasty, and promote the functional recovery after total hip arthroplasty.
