Abstract:Objective To investigate the application effect of 3D printing technology in Pilon fracture surgery. Methods A total of 60 patients with Pilon fracture treated in Luoding People′s Hospital from May 2018 to April 2020 were selected as the research objects, and they divided into control group (30 cases) and observation group (30 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group received open reduction and internal fixation according to the conventional method, and the observation group printed out the Pilon fracture physical model, designed and formulated the individualized operation plan before the operation. The fracture reduction, the operation time, postoperative complications and joint function score were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).At the 3 d postoperative reexamination, the excellent and good rate of reduction in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The joint function score of the observation group at 3 months after operation was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After 5 months of follow-up, the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion 3D printing technology can effectively improve the fracture reduction of patients with Pilon fracture surgery, shorten the operation time, reduce complications, accelerate rehabilitation and improve the prognosis. It has high clinical application value and is worthy of promotion.
