Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical effect of two different types of artificial lacrimal duct in the treatment of lacrimal canaliculus rupture. Methods Clinical data of 367 patients (367 eyes) who underwent lacrimal duct rupture and anastomosis combined with artificial lacrimal duct implantation in the Ophthalmological Lacrimal duct ward of the Fourth People′s Hospital of Shenyang City from January 2015 to October 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into RS artificial lacrimal duct group (182 cases) and LY-Fr3 artificial lacrimal duct group (185 cases).Patients in both groups were extubated 9 months after surgery, followed up for 3 months after extubation, and the operative time, surgical effect and surgical complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operative time of RS artificial lacrimal duct group was shorter than that of LY-Fr3 artificial lacrimal duct group, and the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups (P>0.05).The total incidence of complications in RS artificial lacrimal duct group was lower than that in LY-Fr3 artificial lacrimal duct group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Both types of artificial lacrimal duct anastomosis surgery in the treatment of lacrimal canal fracturehave high success rate, but the RS artificial lacrimal duct has more advantages. It does not interfere with the nasal cavity of patients, shortens the operation time, reduces the pain of patients, has less postoperative complications and simple tube drawing. It is an ideal support for patients′ lacrimal duct rupture, and is worthy of clinical promotion.
