Abstract：Objective To explore the application of cluster nursing in the prevention of lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (LDVT).Methods From January to October 2019,98 patients who were admitted to our hospital for ″major orthopaedic surgery″ (hip replacement,knee replacement,hip fracture surgery and internal fixation of femoral neck and intertrochanteric fractures) were selected as the observation group,and the patients were given cluster nursing and routine nursing,98 patients were treated with″ major orthopaedic surgery″ from January to December 2018 as the control group (routine nursing).The incidence of LDVT,the awareness rate of patients′ health knowledge,the satisfaction rate of patients′ nursing and the qualified rate of LDVT prevention were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of LDVT in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).The awareness rate of health knowledge in the observation group was higher than that in the control group (P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction and the qualified rate of LDVT prevention in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,the differenced were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The application of cluster nursing in LDVT prevention,combined with clinical nursing pathway,can effectively improve the implementation of nursing staff in LDVT prevention,reduce the incidence of LDVT,improve the patients′ nursing satisfaction and nursing quality,which has positive economic and social benefits，and is worthy of clinical promotion.
