Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of acupuncture combined with bloodletting in the treatment of cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.Methods From December 2015 to December 2016,90 patients with vertebral artery cervical spondylosis treated in our hospital were selected.According to the order of treatment,theywere randomly divided into research group (acupuncture plus bloodletting on Dazhui(DU 14)and control group(acupuncture alone).The therapeutic effect,and score of symptoms and function before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate was 95.6%and 80.0%in the research group and control group respectively with a statistical difference (P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no great difference in the score of the symptoms and function between the two groups(P>0.05).After therapy,the score of the symptoms and function in the two groups were statistically significant,and the differences in the research group were superior to those in the control group (P<0.05).The improvement indexes of the symptoms and function in the two groups were also displayed statistical significance,and the differences in the research group were better(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture combined with bloodletting can obtain a ideal effect in the treatment of cervical spondylosisof vertebral artery type.
