Objective To explore the analysis of the soft tissue profile changes in the treatment of Angle′s classⅡdivision Ⅰmalocclusion with standard square wire appliance. Methods A total of 74 children with Angle′s ⅡdivisionⅠmalocclusion admitted to Fushun Stomatological Hospital from April 2017 to March 2020 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into the study group (37 cases) and the control group (37 cases) according to lotting method. The study group was treated with a standard square wire arch appliance combined with a traditional Twin-Block appliance, while the control group was treated with a traditional Twin-Block appliance. The total scores of H angle, soft tissue buccal angle, upper lip convex distance, lower lip convex distance, and orthodontic (PAR) scores were compared between the two groups. Results The H angle, soft tissue buccal angle, upper lip convexity, and lower lip convexity of the study group were smaller than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The PAR score of the study group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The standard square wire arch appliance combined with the traditional Twin-Block appliance can improve the quality of orthodontics and improve the soft tissue profile of children with Angle′s Class Ⅱdivision Ⅰmalocclusion.
