Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the influence of lingual orthodontics on the oral function and asthetics of patients.MethodsFrom January 2014 to December 2015,60 outpatients with malocclusion were selected as the objects and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with labial orthodontic non-extraction treatment,and the observation group was conducted with lingual orthodontics treatment.The influence of two orthodontic techniques on the oral function and appearance of the patients were compared and analyzed.ResultsThe influence degree of the morphological appearance of the observation group was better than that in the control group,with significant difference(P<0.05).In soft tissue discomfort,all patients of the two groups had different degree of foreign body sensation,but no intolerance was found,and the difference in the two groups was no statistically significant(P>0.05).In the pronunciation situation,two kinds of technology had statistical significance at the beginning of treatment and the differences within 1 week (P=0.010).In the first 4 weeks,the influence of feeding for patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05),and which eased after 4 weeks.ConclusionThe treatment of lingual orthodontics has certain influence on the patients′eating and pronunciation,but it has little effect on the patients′beauty,so it is worth popularizing in clinical practice.
