Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical effect of endoscopic transnasal optic canal decompression in the treatment of non-photosensitive traumatic optic neuropathy. Methods A total of 61 cases of traumatic optic neuropathy with no light perception were selected in Jieyang People′s Hospital from January 2015 to October 2019.According to different treatment plans, they were divided into observation group (32 cases) and control group (29 cases). The control group was treated with conventional drugs, while the observation group was treated with endoscopic transnasal optic canal decompression based on the control group.3 months after treatment, the clinical efficacy, postoperative complications and quality of life of patients were compared between the tow groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of complications of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).The QOL score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Endoscopic transnasal optic canal decompression is effective in the treatment of non-photosensitive traumatic optic neuropathy. It can improve the visual acuity of patients, reduce complications and improve their prognosis and quality of life.It is worth popularizing and studying deeply in clinical practice.
