The investigation of COVID-19 patients′ psychological status and the analysis of influencing factors

Abstract:Objective To investigate the psychological status of patients diagnosed with Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and analyze its influencing factors.Methods A total of 114 cases of confirmed COVID-19 patients admitted to the Chest Hospital of Jingzhou from January 2020 to March 2020 were selected as research objects.Self-made questionnaires were used to investigate the general information of patients,the SAS and SDS scores of each group were compared,and the influencing factors of psychological conditions such as anxiety and depression were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis.Results The SAS and SDS scores of COVID-19 patients were(49.74±10.52)points and(54.94±11.25)points,respectively.There were significant differences in gender,age,years of education,marital status,occupational status,monthly income,residence,basic diseases and sleep quality about the SAS and SDS scores of patients diagnosed with COVID-19(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis method showed that female,age 41-59 years old,years of education <9 years,married,unemployed,monthly income <3000 yuan,rural area,≥2 basic diseases and poor sleep quality were all risk factors for anxiety and depression in COVID-19 patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The patients diagnosed with COVID-19 have severe anxiety and depression.The psychological nursing intervention measures should actively take in view of the various factors,so as to alleviate the negative emotions of patients such as anxiety and depression.
