Abstract:ObjectiveTo investigate the diagnostic value of combined detection of PCT,CRP and WBC in children patients with bacterial infection.Methods150 patients who were admitted to our hospital due to infection from October 2014 to February 2017 were included in the study. The clinical data were retrospectively analyzed.According to the final diagnosis, the patients were divided into the virus infection group(group A),the local bacterial infection group(group B),and the severe bacterial infection group(group C).The level of serum PCT,peripheral blood leukocyte(WBC),C-reactive protein (CRP)and other indices were compared between the three groups.ResultsThe levels of PCT and CRP in group C were the highest, followed by group B and the lowest in group A,the differences were significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in WBC level between group C and group B,but all higher than that in group A (P<0.05).The sensitivity of local bacterial infection diagnosed by CRP was 74.00%in the highest(44/50),and the sensitivity of PCT to severe infection was as high as 100.00%(50/50)(P<0.05).ConclusionPCT,CRP and WBC have important evaluation value in bacterial infection.CRP is more sensitive to local bacterial infection,PCT is the most sensitive to severe bacterial infections, and WBC has a relatively low sensitivity.
