Abstract:Objective To summarize and analyze the nursing experience and application effect of targeted perioperative nursing in patients receiving craniopharyngioma surgery by transsphenoidal approach. Methods A total of 84 patients with craniopharyngioma who were admitted to our hospital from June 2016 to June 2017 were selected as subjects.Patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group according to the lottery method, with 42 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were given routine care, the patients in the observation group were given targeted perioperative nursing. The self-rating anxiety scale (SAS), self-rating depressive scale (SDS) score, postoperative complications and disease recurrence rate were analyzed and compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in SAS and SDS scores between the two groups before nursing (P>0.05).After nursing, SAS and SDS scores of patients in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 11.9% (5/42), and that in the control group was 30.9% (13/42).The total incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Patients were followed up for 6 months, and 1 patient in the observation group had recurrence, with a recurrence rate of 2.3%, there were 6 patients in the control group with recurrence rate of 14.3%, and the recurrence rate in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of transsphenoidal approach for the treatment of craniopharyngioma is ideal. The implementation of perioperative nursing can improve the psychological state of patients, prevent postoperative complications, and reduce the rate of disease recurrence in the later period. This nursing measure has a good application effect and can be promoted.
