ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of needle warming moxibustion treating rheumatoid arthritis(RA,Tongbi) and its impact on TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-37.MethodsFrom September 2013 to January 2017,92 patients diagnosed with cold-damp obstruction type of RA were included in our hospital and were randomly divided into two groups on the basis of the random data table method. The control group (n=46) receivedwestern medicine only, while the observation group(n=46)received needle warming moxibustion treatment.Furthermore, the clinical efficacy and inflammatory factors were compared.ResultsAfter treatment, the level of TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-37 in the two groups were decreased, and those indexes in the observation group were significantly decreased than those in the control group (P<0.05).The number of joints swelling and joint tenderness were decreased in both groups, and the indexes in the observation group were significantly fewer than those in the control group (P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.48%, which was significantly higher than the control group (76.09%)(P<0.05).Conclusion Needle warming moxibustion treating RA is effective and can improve the inflammatory response, thus it is worthy of popularization.
