Abstract:Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of senile hypertension under the assist of ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM). Methods A total of 133 senile patients with hypertension admitted to our hospital from January 2016 to December 2018 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into the control group (66 cases)and the experimental group (67 cases) according to the random number table method. The patients in the control group were guided according to the blood pressure in the clinic, and the drugs were taken orally in the morning. The patients in the experimental group were guided according to the ABPM results, and the drug treatment plan was decided according to the patients′ ABPM results. The therapeutic effect of the two groups was compared. Results The blood pressure control rate of patients in the experimental group after 4 weeks of treatment was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The proportion of morning peak blood pressure of patients in the experimental group after 12 weeks of treatment was lower than that in the control group, the proportion of dippershaped blood pressure was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The daily mean systolic blood pressure (dMSBP), 24-hour mean systolic blood pressure (24 h MSBP) and night mean systolic blood pressure (nMSBP) of the patients in the experimental group after 12 weeks of treatment were all lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The therapeutic effect of senile hypertension is better under the assist of ABPM.
