Abstract:Objective To explore the effect of midwives-led prenatal health care services on maternal weight during pregnancy and delivery outcomes. Methods A total of 120 cases of puerpera who had regular maternity examination in our hospital from June 2017 to June 2018 were selected and divided into two groups by random number table method,60 cases in each group.The control group received routine prenatal health guidance and accompanying care, while the research group received midwives-led prenatal health care services.The maternal weight control during pregnancy and delivery outcomes were compared between the two groups. Results The weight before delivery and the mid-term increase in the third trimester of pregnancy in the research group were lower than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05); the rate of cesarean section and total complications of mothers and infants in the research group were lower than those of the control group, and the rate of natural delivery was higher than that of the control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Midwives-led pregnant health care services can enhance the effect of maternal weight control during pregnancy, help to reduce the incidence of maternal and infant complications, and improve the birth rate.
